A few years ago, I inherited a huge jar of old buttons. At first I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with all of them. After all, there were almost no matching pairs in there, let alone sets that could be used in a larger sewing project. But in time I realized that’s it’s quite a treasure trove. They are handy as counters for math problems, make a great sensory game for little ones (or me when I’m feeling stressed) and they are super useful for crafts. I love to pick out some of the more interesting ones and turn them into handy object, like these thumbtacks. Cute and functional. Who can beat it?
