Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 Minutes
Age range: 10 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Sheet of Cork
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
Sharpie
Ruler
Acrylic paint
Foam brush
Metal can
Painter’s tape

Things to do:
1. Place your metal can on a sheet of cork and roll it up. Use a sharpie to mark the edges, creating accurate measurements of your can.

2. Once you’ve marked your sheet of cork, use a ruler to connect the lines.
3. Cut out the rectangle of cork, being careful to keep the lines straight.

4. Use hot glue to attach the cork sheet to the can. Be sure to keep the can straight on the cork sheet, so it rolls up neatly.

5. Once you’ve created your pencil holder, pick a pattern to decorate it with. For this project, I chose to decorate my pencil holder with stripes.
6. Wrap the bottom and top of your pencil holder with painters tape, creating two even stripes.
7. Use a sponge brush and acrylic paint to decorate your pencil holder. Apply the paint in thick, even strokes.
8. Pull off the tape and reveal your adorable decor!
