Upcycled Cheese Grater

Upcycled_Cheese_Grater
I stopped wearing earring about the time my son turned three months old and learned to grab. That was almost nine years ago. These days I don’t have any babies pulling at my ears so I’ve started building my earring collection back up. Now that I have more than one pair of earring hanging around, I needed somewhere to keep them and this spare cheese grater seemed just the thing.

Things you’ll need:
Box style cheese grater
12-gauge steel wire
Long nose pliers
Spray Paint
E6000

Things to do:
1. Cover your work table with newsprint and make sure the area is well ventilated.

2. Spray the outside of the grater with paint in thin, even coats. You’ll want at least three coats to adequately cover the metal evenly. Allow the paint to dry completely.
3. Cut four three inch long sections of wire and then use your pliers to curl the ends to create feet.

4. Glue the straight end of the wires into each of the corners with the curled ends facing out. Once dry, stand the grater on its feet and use the holes to store earrings!
