Upcycle: Jar Ring Candle Dish

I think almost everyone loves candles. I know we love them in our house, especially in the winter when their warm glow is so inviting. But what I don’t love is ending up with candle wax all over my tables from the dripping. This project takes simple canning jar rings and a little washi tape and turns out a cute and practical (and reusable) dish to protect your surfaces from the dripping wax.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Washi tape
Mason jar lids and rings
Scissors
Candles

Things to do:
1. Clean and dry the rings and lids to help the washi tape stay stuck to the metal.

2. Run the washi tape along the edge of the ring, just under the lip edge, smoothing as you go.

3. Smooth the other edge down around the top of the ring. Set of your surface and drop the lid in, shiny side up.
4. Add candles, light and enjoy.
