Cardboard Tube Heart Stamping

There’s nothing little kids love better than a good old messy paint project! This little craft is right up their alley (although you can minimize the mess by allowing only a little paint at a time!) and is perfectly themed for Valentine’s Day! A lovely way to make cards, wrapping paper or gifts, the kids will love to make this as much as the lucky recipient will love getting it!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes plus dry time

Things you’ll need:
Paper
Toilet or paper towel tubes
Red and pink acrylic craft paint

Things to do:
1. Begin by making your stamp. Crease the end of your tube to make an indent and then fold the edge opposite to form a heart shape. For little hands you can wrap a rubber band or tape around the tube to hold the shape.

2. Dip the edges of the stamp into your paint and stamp away. These look especially nice stamped in two, overlapping colors!
