These star votive lamps are easy and quick to make and look great on a dark night or at an evening dinner party. Poke holes to emulate constellations or just randomly for different effects.

Things you’ll need:
Tinfoil
Jars
Pushpin
Foam or sponge
Scissors
Tealights

Things to do:
1. Cut a length of foil that’s slightly longer than you’ll need to go around the inside of the jar.

2. Fold the foil in thirds to make it thicker.
3. Place the foil over the foam or sponge and pierce holes in it across the surface.
4. Roll the foil up and slide it into the jar, pulling it open slightly once it’s inside so that it rest against the side of the glass.
5. Drop tealights in and light.
