Summertime Pebble Face Puzzles


A great summertime craft for the kids, these puzzle faces offer hours of fun, both in the making and in the playing! Start with a small collection and keep adding or make tons of pieces right off the bat. Display them outside on a picnic table to keep the kiddos occupied in those hectic moments before dinner or bag them up and you’ll always have a fun activity on hand when someone needs a little distraction.

Time required: 30 minutes

Things you’ll need:
River rocks
Acrylic Craft Paints
Paintbrushes

Things to do:
1. Clean and dry the pebbles thoroughly.

2. Sort through the stones, dividing them into piles for different face elements, roundish stones are great for eyes, odd shaped stones make for fun noses, etc.
3. Using your paints, paint the basic shapes of eyes, nose, and mouth of different stones.

4. Once the first coat of paint is dry, add details like nostrils, irises etc to the stones. If you like, make extra stones for eyebrows, ears, even hair. Let your imagination run wild.

5. Allow the paint to cure for a few hours before playing.
