Snowy Tree Ornament

I happen to live in snow country these days, but there was a time when a white Christmas was not going to be on the schedule. In those years, and even now when the white stuff is all around, I longed to bring a little of the snowy scene style inside. These snowy tree ornaments are a simple way to get your snow fix. Hang them on your tree or just around the house for a fun, wintery style.

Time required: 15 minutes
Difficulty level: easy

Things you’ll need:
Acrylic ball ornament
Epsom salt
Bottle brush tree
Cork
Knife or small saw
Super glue

Things to do:
1. Open up your ornament. Slice off about 1/2 inch of your cork, this will lift your tree up out of the snow for a more realistic look.
2. Using your glue, glue the cork to the bottom of one half of the ornament, being careful to keep the glue out of the seam of the ornament.
3. Once the glue is dry, glue the tree on top of the cork. Allow it to dry.
4. Fill the other half of the ornament 3/4 of the way full with salt.

5. Press the two halves together and shake the snow down over the base of the tree. Tie a ribbon through the loop to hang.
