Spread some holiday cheer to your shelves with these adorable Christmas angels! Have fun playing with different fabrics and cardboard textures to create a set that matches your home decor.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Fiberboard cones
Ticking fabric
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Cardboard
Paper wire
Rusty tin angel wings
Wooden beads
Scissors

Things to do:
1. The first step is covering your cardboard cone with fabric. I’ve used a dish towel and burlap for my Christmas angels, so you really can use whatever you’d like! Typically, the thinner the fabric, the better it lays on your cone. Use hot glue to hold the fabric in place and trim away any excess fabric. Christmas_Cone_Angels_Tutorial1

2. Use hot glue to attach a wooden bead to the top of the cone.
3. Run a line of hot glue down the center of your angel wings and attach them to the back of the cone. Christmas_Cone_Angels_Tutorial6
4. Cut out different shapes of cardboard and glue them on around the body of the angel.
5. Next, add arms to your angel! Cut two 2-inch pieces of wired jute. Glue them on either side of the angel and bend them together until you’re happy with the look.Christmas_Cone_Angels_Tutorial7
6. The final step is adding the halo! Create a circle shape out of wired jute and leave a 1 1/2 -inch tail. Use glue to secure it to the back of your angel’s head. Christmas_Cone_Angels_Tutorial8
