How to Make Pipe Cleaner Carrots


These pipe cleaner carrots are perfect crafts to complete with young children. Just in time for Easter, wind up some pipe cleaners into this adorable shape, and sprinkle among your other decor!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 10 minutes
Age range: 7+

Things you’ll need:
Orange pipe cleaners
Green pipe cleaners
Scissors
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks *optional
Pencil *optional

Things to do:
1. Wind the pipe cleaner around your finger.

2. Continue winding around toward your fingertip. For more taper, wind the end around a pencil

3. Remove the pipe cleaner from your finger or the pencil and twist it to make it more secure and to give it a tighter coil.

4. The pipe cleaner should look like this when you’re finished.

5. Cut three pieces of green pipe cleaner to about 2 1/2″ long each.

6. Wind the green pipe cleaners around each other so they’re secure.

7. Insert the carrot tops into the top of the carrot. If desired, use hot glue to secure them in place.
