Pattern-O’s with Modge Podge

Pattern_Os
If you have children who aren’t quite ready for Domino’s, this is the perfect project for you. Using the same idea of mismatched ends that you find with domino’s, these little locks use different patterns of scrapbooking paper for a fun, simple matching game for kids.

Things you’ll need:
Scrapbook paper, at least 5 different patterns (small patterns work best)
Wooden tiles
Modge Podge
Paintbrush
Craft Paint
Clear polyurethane spray
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Coat each tile with paint on all sides and allow them to dry.
2. Cut rectangles of paper from your scrapbooking paper that are just shorter than half the length of the tiles (this allows for a space between the papers)

3. Paint a thin coat of Modge Podge onto one half of the top of a tile and smooth one of your rectangles of paper on. Attach a different pattern of paper to the opposite end of the tile in the same manner. Continue with the remaining tiles.

4. Coat the entire top of each tile with a second coat of Modge Podge to seal the paper.

5. Allow the Modge Podge to dry and then spray both sides of the tile with clear spray for a smooth finish.
