Create a simple no-sew felt pilgrim bonnet, perfect for your little pilgrims!
Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 10+ minutes
Age range: 8+
Things you’ll need:
Felt
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Ruler
Scissors
Ribbon
Things to do:
1. Cut a piece of black felt 12 inches x 16 inches. This size worked for a toddlers head, and you might wish to go a bit smaller if being made for a baby.–such as 10×14. You can also cut a strip of white felt 12 inches x 2 inches if you wish to have the flap bit of your bonnet be white as opposed to a solid black.
2. On each end, measure 6 inches going toward the center, then cut two slits 4 inches high and 4 inches wide.
3. Fold over one side to match up with the furthest cut and hot glue, fold the other side over and hot glue it also.
4. Roll the front bit of the front of your bonnet back. If you chose to cut a 2 inch piece of white colored felt to add contrast, attach on the under side of the front of your bonnet and fold it back around 2 inches, and glue into place.
5. Glue ribbon inside on the folded ridge of your bonnet. (Length is subject to what you desire or your child is comfortable with)
