You can make the simple lid wreath out of a mason jar lid. Create this in many different colors with other embellishments, like small pom poms, sequins, or beads. The possibilities are endless!
Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time to complete: 1 hour
Age range: 10+
Things you’ll need:
Two-piece Mason jar lid
Jute twine
Red twine
String pearl beads
Narrow red ribbon
Hemp twine
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun. Try cut enough of the jute to go around the lid, but if you estimate short, it’s okay to have seams. Glue the end of the jute to the back of the lid and start wrapping.
2. Finish wrapping and glue the end into place.
3. Wrap the string of beads around the lid in the same way, leaving as much space between the wraps as you’d like.
4. Repeat with the red twine.
5. Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow.
6. Loop the hemp twine around the top for hanging, and glue the bow into place.
