Tilt the marker in just slightly toward the top side of the tag as you work to deposit just slightly more ink on the top of the tag edge than on the bottom.

Things to do:
1. If you want a punched tag, punch the design before you start the edge work.

2. Run the edge of a marker along the edge of the tag, depositing ink along the sides of the tag and, if you used a punch, along the cut edge of the hole as well.
