Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes
Age range: 7+

Things you’ll need:
Pony beads
Rattail cord
Jewelry findings
Paper clip
Seam sealant
Hot glue gun and hot glue (optional)

Things to do:
1. Cut your raittail cord to about 24″. You’ll be able to trim it later. Find the center by folding it in half, and slip on a paper clip and and jewelry hook. You can use different findings if desired. Make sure this is centered.

2. Count out your beads. Use 1 red/pink for the cherry on top, 16 for the ice cream, and 15 for the cone.

3. Slip the red/pink bead onto the cord.

4. Slide the bead to the center, then insert both ends of the cord through the center and pull, as shown.

5. This is what it should look like once the cord ends are slipped through the center and pulled tight.

6. Now you’ll start the next row. Slide four ice-cream beads onto the cord.

7. Insert both ends of the cord through all four centers and pull.

8. For the next two rows, use 6 beads per row and repeat step 7 for both rows. When you’re finished, your project should look like this.

9. The cone is up next! Use five beads for this row.

10. Add four beads for the next row.

11. Three beads for the next row….

12. Now add two beads…

13. The final row has one bead. You’re almost finished!

14. Tie the end off with a double knot.

15. Trim and dab with seam sealant. You might also choose to add a drop of hot glue to the bottom to prevent it from untying. Enjoy your beaded ice cream cone!
