Things you’ll need:
Oval template
Pencil or other tracing tool
Nine sheets of patterned cardstock paper
Scissors
Double-sided tape

Things to do:
1. Grab a sheet of patterned cardstock and flip it over to the wrong side. Using a tracing tool and oval template, trace two eggs onto a sheet of cardstock. You can use any oval template you’d like for tracing; we’re using an oil container.

2. Trace two eggs onto three more sheets of cardstock, then trace one egg on the last sheet of cardstock. You should have a total of nine traced eggs.

3. Cut out each egg.

4. Fold each egg in half vertically, lining up the edges as best you can.

5. Place a small piece of double-sided tape on the blank side of a paper egg.

6. Place a second different patterned egg over the taped side of the egg, again lining up the edges of the eggs as best you can.

7. Turn the eggs over so that the blank side faces you. Place another piece of double-sided tape on one side of the egg.

8. Place a third different patterned egg over the tape.

9. Continue adding tape and eggs until you have used eight eggs. As you add eggs, alternate the patterns so that the same pattern doesn’t repeat. When you finish, place a piece of double-sided tape on each side of the blank egg halves.

10. Insert the last egg onto the taped blank halves.

11. If you have uneven edges, trim them with scissors. You can make several paper eggs and display them in a bowl as a centerpiece, or you can punch a hole in the top of the egg, add a thread, and hang the paper eggs from a tree or as a garland.
