How to Make a Valentines XOXO Bunting

Love is all around now that Valentine’s Day is almost here! Spread the love with this fun XOXO bunting! Just the thing to add to a door, decorate a wall or drape across a mantle! You can size this up or down by changing the size of the letters or adding more pairs of x’s and o’s. Use mid weight scrapbook paper or light cardstock for a sturdy bunting that can be used year after year.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 20 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Cardstock
Ruler
Pencil
Craft knife
Hole punch
Narrow ribbon
Scissors
Glue stick

Things to do:
1. Draw your letters on the back side of you paper either using your ruler to mock it up free hand or by tracing letters printed to the size you want.
2. Cut out the letters using your scissors or craft knife.

3. Cut out a heart for each o” in a contrasting paper and glue it to the center of the o” with glue stick.

4. Punch holes at the top of each letter, two per letter.

5. Trim a length of ribbon slightly longer than you want for your bunting and weave it in and out of the holes to suspend the letters. The weight of the letters will keep them in place on the ribbon.

6. Tie the ends of the ribbons into loops for easy hanging. Once hung, adjust the letters as needed to have them centered and well spaced.
