Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time to complete: 30 minutes
Age range: 10+
Things you’ll need:
Felt
3 – Pipe cleaners
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Things to do:
1. Cut a 1″ to 1 1/2 ” strip of felt the length of the piece. Warm up your hot glue gun.
2. Cut scallops in the strip as shown.
3. Roll one end and glue in place.
4. Continue rolling the felt, creating some space between the rolls. You won’t want to roll this tightly, or else it won’t look like a rose. Glue in place.
5. Continue rolling the strip and gluing.
6. While rolling, you might choose to fold the strip to create more interest before gluing in place.
7. Continue rolling until you’ve almost reached the end.
8. Glue the end in place.
9. Twist your three pipe cleaners around each other, then fold a loop on one end. Twist in place.
10. Slip the end with the loop into the bottom of the rose, and glue in place.
