How to Make a Celtic Knot Keyfob

Have you ever had a single key that needed an instant key chain? Maybe you have a guest visiting and they need a key or you want to have a spare hanging somewhere handy. Whatever the reason, this Celtic knot fob is simple, quick and perfect for a single key or even a small set.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: less than 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
White paracord or other colors
Scissors
Matches or lighter
Key

Things to do:
1. Cut about 14 inches of paracord. You’ll need less but for your first knot, extra rope makes tying easier. Singe the ends to prevent fraying.

2. Thread your key onto the paracord and pull it to the halfway point. Fold the rope here and line up the ends.

3. Bring the ends around in a loop and over the rope near the key as pictured, be sure to keep the rope parallel and flat.

4. Wrap the ends under the beginning of the rope between where you crossed it in step 3 and the key and then loop them up toward the first loop you created.

5. Tuck the ends through this loop and carefully pull to tighten, still keeping the rope parallel and flat.
6. If desired, trim the ends shorter and resinge.
