Hot Glue Snowflakes

Make these pretty snowflakes with not much more than hot glue and glitter and shimmer up your house this winter. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can use a silicone mat to make your snowflakes on. Hot melt glue allows you to wait longer before adding the glitter, meaning you can finish the snowflake before stopping to add it while low melt glue will peel off easier, but you’ll have to glitter it as you go. You can also glitter the paper or mat before starting to add sparkle to both sides of the snowflake.

Things you’ll need:
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Glitter
Parchment paper

Things to do:
1. Plug the glue gun in and let it warm up. Once it’s flowing well, draw the branches of the snowflake onto the paper, pausing as you go to add glitter if using a low melt glue gun. Add glitter to cover the entire flake before it dries.

2. Trim away the glue threads and string onto a ribbon or set on a shelf to display.
