Easy to Make Succulent Tea Light Planter


This soothing succulent tea light tray is simple to make, but makes a big impact. Enjoy it during the day without the tea lights on,” but it really comes to life in the evening, as a beautiful table decoration.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 30 minutes, plus drying time
Age range: 8+ (younger children will need you to use the wire cutter)

Things you’ll need:
Unfinished wooden tray
Artificial succulents
Three tea lights
Paint brush
White or gray acrylic paint
Sheet moss
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Wire cutters

Things to do:
1. Paint your tray inside and out (except for the bottom). If you want this tray to look weathered, you can sand it here and there when it’s dry.

2. Allow your tray to dry.

3. Warm up your hot glue gun. Clip the succulents with the wire cutters.

4. I’ve used just a few succulents, but you can use more depending on your style.

5. Place some of the moss into the tray and hot glue in place.

6. Glue the succulents into the tray, making sure there’s room for the tea lights.

7. Place the tea lights in the try. Turn them on for a dramatic, flickering effect!
