Easy Styrofoam Witch Ornament


As Halloween approaches, it’s time to bring on the decorating! This styrofoam witch ornament has just the right amount of scary” while being cute, too. Hang from the mantel, a book shelf, or above a door. Make several for an adorable garland effect!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Sinamay witch hat
2- Google eyes
White craft fur
Green acrylic paint
Paint brush
Styrofoam ball
Embroidery thread
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Scissors
Needle with large eye

Things to do:
1. Paint the styrofoam ball with the green paint. Let it dry and warm up your hot glue gun while you wait.

2. Cut out two pieces of craft fur, making sure you cut it so the hair” will be vertical when you glue it to the ball. Also, push up the fur so you cut into the backing only, and the fur hangs down. It looks more like hair this way!

3. Glue the two pieces of craft fur to the top of the ball.

4. Thread the embroidery floss through the top of the sinamay hat and tie it into a loop.

5. Glue the hat on top of the hair, and glue the google eyes onto the front of the ball. Hang your styrofoam witch ornament, and enjoy!
