DIY Wood Burned Hanger

Hangers are just about as plain and simple as things get, even the pretty old wood ones, which is fine since they are, at their core, utilitarian objects. But occasionally you might want something a little fancier when it comes to your hanger needs. Perhaps for a special person or a special outfit! Turn that boring hanger into a beautiful keepsake!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 30 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Trace paper
Wooden hanger
Woodburning tool
Pencil
Clip art

Things to do:
1. Lay the hanger out on the trace paper and trace around the outside to give yourself an idea of where to place the clip art.

2. Lay the trace paper over the clip art, arranging it so that it’s centered on the hanger shape. Trace the art onto the paper in thick pencil lines.
3. Flip the trace paper over onto the hanger and use the side of the pencil tip to rub the image onto the flat of the hanger.

4. Heat up your woodburning tool using the fine tip and trace around your images. Using the shading tool, fill in the shapes evenly to finish.
