DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Envelope Cards


This heart shaped card folds into a neat rectangle and is sure to give your valentine a sweet surprise when they open it. Place a sweet note and small gift inside and watch their face light up on February 14th.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Age range: 10 and up
Time to complete: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Paper
Scissors
Glue
Ribbon
Stickers
Gold Thread

Things to do:
1. Fold a piece of paper in half and cut a large, symmetrical heart. Repeat this step three times on paper in different patterns or colors. Make each heart gradually smaller.


2. Fold your heart shapes, folding the ears of the heart just past the center.


3. Fold the top of the heart down to create a rectangular bottom.

4. Fold the bottom tip of the heart up to the top, creating a rectangular shape.

5. Repeat the folding steps on all three hearts.
6. Glue the smallest heart onto the center of the medium sized heart, and the medium sized heart onto the center of the largest heart.

7. As you are gluing, fold the hearts into the rectangular shapes.

8. Use ribbon to secure the card’s rectangular shape.
9. Stick two sticker together and attach them to a piece of gold thread to create a fun decoration. Secure the gold thread decoration by tying it around the ribbon.
