DIY Story Stones

I come from a long line of storytellers. We love family legends, long jokes, tall tales, all sorts of stories. It’s a gift I want to pass onto my kids, of course, and one of my favorite ways of encouraging their imaginative stories is with story stones. These little pebbles are fantastic story starters to help spark kids ideas. For the youngest children, use the stones to tell a complete but simple story. Old children can draw a few stones from the pile and weave a tale around them. Either way, they are tons of fun!

Difficulty level: Easy – these don’t have to be intricate! Simple shapes work well! Just have fun with it!
