DIY ‘Spring’ Burlap Bunting Banner

Think S-P-R-I-N-G! Put the boots back into storage and hide your heavy coats deep into your closets until next winter. This reminder of the new season will brighten your mantel or desk. Bring some fresh cut daffodils inside as an added bonus!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 45 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
‘Spring’ template
Burlap fabric ribbon
Butcher’s craft twine
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Printer and paper

Things to do:
1. Cut out the triangles from the printable file. Cut out six pieces of the burlap fabric ribbon to about 4″ long each. They should be larger than the triangles, as shown. Warm your hot glue gun.

2. Carefully glue the triangles to the burlap. When secure, cut 1/4″ away from the triangle on two sides, but leave about 3/4″ to an inch at the top, as shown.

3. Fold down the top and crease.

4. Trim off the ears” visible from turning down the tops of the triangles.

5. Cut a piece of twine to the length desired and slide on the letters. Glue the tops in place so the twine won’t slip out.

6. Once you’ve added all the letters, get ready to hang your spring banner
