DIY Show Stopper Square Petal Envelope

This is no ordinary envelope. In fact, it’s something of a show stopper and anyone would love to receive such a beautiful little package. And for a show-stopper, it’s pretty darn easy to whip up, so easy that you might never buy a ready made card again. You can make this any size you want. The envelope piece of paper will need to be twice as wide and long as the inner square card paper. Here we’ve used a 12×12 sheet of light-weight cardstock for the outer sheet and a 6×6 square for the card.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Light cardstock
Scissors
Scrap sheet of paper
Pencil
Washi tapeoptional

Things to do:
1. Cut a circle that has the same diameter as the edge dimension of your smaller square and measure out and cut your inner square. Fold the circle in half.

2. Stack the two together on your envelope paper with the square in the center. Trace around the rounded edge.

3. Move half circle only around to the next side of the square. Trace and repeat with the remaining sides.

4. Cut around the traced rounded edges.
5. Set the square paper in the center of the envelope paper on the inside. Fold over each of the rounded flaps and crease.

6. Layer them in order, tucking the past flap under the first to secure. If desired, seal with a piece of matching washi tape.
