DIY Rustic Burlap and Lace Ring Bearer Pillow

Love ring bearer pillows but can’t find the farmhouse or primitive style you’re looking for? Here’s a simple way to take a traditional pillow and switch it up to match your wedding style.

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 30-60 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Jute burlap table runner
Lace
Ring bearer pillow
Scissors
Needle and thread for hand sewing, or sewing machine
Narrow ribbon
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Pins

Things to do:
1. Remove any of the embellishments, including the ribbons/strings that are meant to hold the rings, from the pillow.

2. Cut two squares of burlap that are about 1 1/2″ larger in both length and width than your pillow.

3. Sew them together on three sides, either by hand or by machine.

4. Turn the square right-side out.

5. Insert the original pillow.

6. Fold the raw edges to the inside, pin, and stitch in place.

7. Decorate with your lace, hot glueing it in place.

8. Hot glue any of the original embellishments back onto the pillow, including the ribbons that hold the rings. Enjoy using this at your wedding!
