Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 10 minutes
Age range: 10 and up *Younger children may need assistance with the scissors and curling ribbon

Things you’ll need:
Garland
Curling ribbon
Wire
Scissors
Measuring tape

Things to do:
1. Measure a piece of garland that is roughly 20 inches in length. This garland will become the headband. It is better to have a piece that is smaller than larger, so it won’t fall down into your child’s face.

2. Cut two arms length of curling ribbon in each color. If you want a longer train, cut the curling ribbon longer.

3. Use scissors and slide the blade along the curling ribbon to create tight curls. The more times you slide your scissors along the ribbon, the tighter the curls will become. Repeat with each piece of curling ribbon until you have achieved your desired look.

4. Cut a 2 inch piece of wire and twist it around the ends of the garland to create a circle. Leave a little extra to secure the curling ribbons to the end. Once you’ve secured the curling ribbon, tuck the remaining wire in and cut off any excess.
