These adorable pom pom hair clips with bows are reminiscent of that famous girl mouse. They’re quick to make and are sure to bring a smile to the girl who wears them…and you’ll love all the compliments she’ll receive!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
2 black pompoms
Red ribbon
Embroidery thread
2 barrettes
Sewing needle with a large eye
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun and glue the top of a barrette to one of the pom poms. Make sure to glue the entire top of the clip to the pom pom, otherwise the pom pom will flop around on the clip. Repeat with the second pom pom.

2. Cut two pieces of ribbon to 4″ long each. For wider ribbons, cut the length longer, and cut smaller for narrower ribbons. Fold one end in, overlapping the center.

3. Fold the other end inward, overlapping the first edge.

4. Thread your needle with the floss and knot at one end. Pull the needle through the center of the bow and wrap the thread around a couple of times. Tie off in the back and clip the thread.

5. This is what the bow will look like when you’re done! Repeat for the the second ribbon.

6. Glue the bow onto the pom pom, making sure it will face forward when worn. Repeat with the second pom pom, and the present these to a delighted little girl!
