I love those elegant, metal topped apothecary jars but I don’t love the high price they often want for them. This project turns simple recycled jars into beautiful apothecary containers perfect for storing all sorts of goodies. Be sure to use a metallic spray paint for the best Metal” look.
Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes
Things you’ll need:
Jars with lids
Wooden ball knobs, egg holders or finials
Craft glue
Metallic spray paint
Things to do:
1. Remove the lids from the jars and wash in warm soapy water.
2. Once the lids are clean and dry, glue a bead, knob or finial to the center of the top. Allow the glue to dry.
3. Paint the lid and finial with several coats of metallic paint, allowing each layer of paint to dry before adding the next.
4. Once the paint is dry, screw the lid back on the jar, ready for display.
