Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 15 mins.
Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Dowel rods or skewer sticks (if using skewer sticks, cut off the pointed tip )
Felt
Scissors
Pencil
Pipe cleaner
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Draw out feather shapes on piece of paper and use as a stencil, or draw freehanded directly on your piece of felt. No need for perfection, real feathers aren’t perfect. You will need two identical feather pieces per arrow.

3. Cut notches on to both sides of your feathers. It is helpful to layer your feathers on top of one another when doing this, as to cut identical notches into both pieces.

8. Do the same with your feather pieces on the opposite end, but be careful not to glue your fringed feather notches together. Only allow a small portion of your dowel to be enclosed inside of your felt feathers.
9. Ruffle your feather piece and fringed notches to give your arrows a more realistic appearance.
