DIY Burlap Easter Bunny Treat Bag

It’s not too soon to think about spring! Fill this quirky, burlap bunny bag with jelly beans for gift giving, or with beans, rice, or other fillers if you’d like to keep this a spring decoration year after year.

Things you’ll need:
Sheet of burlap
Stencil brush
Paint
Scissors
Narrow ribbon
Ruler
Sewing machine and basic sewing notions

Things to do:
1. Cut the burlap into two rectangles, about 10 inches by 6 inches. Lay the rectangles on top of each other and cut a deep V along one short edge, for ears.

2. Using your stencil brush, paint polka dots onto each shape.

3. After the paint has dried, pin both pieces right sides together. You won’t be sewing into the “ear area,” just along the bottom and sides of the rectangle, so there’s no need to pin that area yet.

4. Start and stop sewing just below the ears.

5. Turn the bunny right side out. Now you may sew along the outside part of the ears, but leave the middle open. Fill as desired.

6. Add a ribbon to tie the bunny bag loosely.
