DIY Beaded Hair Pins

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 15 minutes
Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
Ruler
Silver beading wire
Wire cutters
Black Bobby Pins
Mermaid Mix Faux Pearl Beads

Things to do:
1. Using wire cutters, cut a length of wire 4″ long. Slide a bead onto the center of the wire.

2. Slip one end of the wire through the bobby pin, crossing over to the opposite side.

3. Slip the opposite wire end through the bobby pin, crisscrossing the wires around the bobby pin.

4. Using your fingers, wrap one end of the wire around the bead, winding it around the wires as tightly as you can.

5. Wrap the opposite end of the wire around the first wrap you made, again wrapping as tightly as you can.

6. Optional: if your bead is still wiggling around a bit, you can cut an additional length of wire, then wrap it around the wraps you already made to add more stability.
