This project turns tree trimmings and household scraps into pretty, effective and delicious smelling fire starters, perfect for a hostess or winter housewarming gift and great as a weekend, keep the kids busy project. Roll up a pile and stow the attractive packets by your stove and get ready for winter.

Things you’ll need:
Pine tree trimmings
Cinnamon sticks
Pinecones
Newspaper
Jute twine

Things to do:
1. Fold the newspaper in half and place a few sprigs of pine trimmings, a pinecone and a cinnamon stick in the center.


2. Roll the bundle up and twist the tube a little on either side of the lump created by the fillings.

3. Tie closed at each side with a little twine.
