DIY Anchor Wreath Tutorial

Ships ahoy! This nautical wreath adds a whimsical touch to your summer decor. It’s a quick and easy way to dress up your door and celebrate summer.

Age range: 12 and up

Things you’ll need:
White yarn
Blue yarn
Jute rope (3mm or 7mm)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
12″ styrofoam wreath
Red paint
Anchor
Measuring tape
Pencil
Paint brush
Scissors
Clear coat spray

Things to do:

  1. Measure 3 1/8″ and mark all around the outside edge.
  2. Cut yarn into manageable lengths and wrap wreath form, alternating the blue and white yarn. Use hot glue to secure the ends to the back of your wreath.
  3. Wrap 3″ rope on both sides of the wreath. Use hot glue to secure the ends.
  4. Paint the anchor red.
  5. Hot glue anchor to the wreath.
  6. Tie and small jute loop on the top to hang your wreath from.
