DIY Airplant Ornaments

Airplants are all the rage. And I can totally see why. For one thing, they are about as low maintenance as you can get. You don’t even need soil to keep them happy. And then they are so darn pretty. Perfect for friends with not-so-green thumbs, these ornaments are a great way to add a little plant life to your winter space. Although these ornaments won’t thrive forever fully enclosed, they’ll happily live in their round homes through the holidays, just be sure to move them to an more open environment after the tree goes down!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: less than 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Ribbon
Clear acrylic ornament
Airplants
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Open your ornament and carefully arrange the airplant inside, tucking any stray leaves in before closing the two halves.

2. Cut a 10 inch length of ribbon, trimming the ends to an angle to deter fraying.
3. String a ribbon through the hole and tie off to create a loop.
