Dimensional Magic Washi Magnets

I love those glass bubble magnets, but I always wish I could choose what was behind the glass. These Diamond Glaze Magnets mimic the look of those glass magnets while allowing you to customize the paper or washi behind the shine. While we used washi tape here, you could use scrapbook paper, stickers or pictures to create your magnets.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 10 minutes plus dry time

Things you’ll need:
Magnets
Washi Tape
Craft knife and cutting mat
Diamond Glaze
Toothpick

Things to do:
1. Cover the top of the magnet with washi tape, overlapping layers as needed to cover the whole top. You can also cut stripes or create plaid patterns with the tape as desired.

2. Flip the magnet over onto the cutting mat, and using the craft knife, trim away the excess from around the edges.

3. Smooth the tape down well and apply a bead of Diamond Glaze to the center of the magnet. Use the toothpick to draw it out to the very edges.
4. Set the magnet on a flat, covered work surface and allow it to harden overnight or until hard and clear throughout.
