Great questions Linda! We used a 4 inch styrofoam ball for the head, 6 hanks white loopy chenille and 2 hanks pink loopy chenille for this specific project. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Happy crafting!
I just want yo know where to buy the loopy yarn. I use to make these baskets back in 92 through 97 now I need to make them again for my grand children. I love making these backers
Hello Lillian! Great question… Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued all loopy chenille and will no longer be making it. We ran out of all our stock a couple of years ago and have not been able to find any else where. We are always on the look out but I don’t believe we will have it any time soon. The only other thing that we carry that sort of resembles loopy chenille is our jumbo chenille stems.
