Make Your Own Clothespin Fairies

I have a passionate fairy lover in my family, two, actually, and they are always wishing for more and more fairies. They are loving these clothespin fairies, and loving making these as much as they are enjoying playing with them. Use fabric or paper for the petal skirts, whichever you prefer.

Time required: 15 minutes plus dry time
Difficulty level: Easy

Things you’ll need:
Rounded clothespins
Lace ribbon
Paint for a shirt color, shoe color and hair color
Paint pen or thin marker
Glue
Paintbrush
Needle and thread

Things to do:
1. Paint the section from the neck to the split (the legs) with the shirt color and allow it to dry.

2. Paint the hair and pointy shoes and allow them to dry.
3. Cut a length of lace long enough to wrap around the doll four times. Sew a running stitch along the top edge of the ribbon and pull to gather until the ribbon is just a little longer than the diameter of the clothespin.
4. Glue the top (gathered) edge around the clothespin at the “waist.” Allow the glue to dry.
5. Dot on eyes to finish.
