Chalkboard surfaces are both stylish and handy. Having a place to write messages, names and labels is just a little more fun when it’s on a chalkboard. But chalkboard paint can be messy and time consuming. Fortunately for us, there’s sticky backed chalkboard paper, ready to be cut and mounted onto whatever needs labeling, messaging or just spruced up.
Things you’ll need:
Chalkboard paper
Shape to cut
Pencil
Craft knife and cutting mat
Or Die cutting machine
Things to do:
1. Decide on the shape you are looking for. You can cut tags, circles or flourishes. Trace the shape onto the chalkboard paper with the pencil or find an appropriate die for your needs.
2. Cut the shape out carefully, being sure the edges are smooth.
3. Peel off and apply to your surface. This is a great way to label cups for a party, identify the contents of a bin or add some flare to a simple notebook.

I like the idea, but on the front of a note book I would think that chalk would wipe off too easy. Is the Chalkboard paper on a roll or in sheets.
Where do you get chalkboard paper from?
You can find the chalkboard paper here on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Wallies-Stick-Chalkboard-Sheet-Slate/dp/B0016KQZGQ/ref=pd_sbs_ol_1 or anywhere else that sells “Wallies Peel and Stick Chalkboard.” You could also try black contact paper, which is basically the same thing as well. I hope this helps!
