My daughter loves to color. LOVES to color. So I have a LOT of her art hanging around my house. Piles of it. And while I will certainly save the best of all those pages, I hate to just toss the rest. So this winter all my gifts will be wrapped with some very special bows.
Things you’ll need:
Children’s art on lightweight paper (copy paper works well)
Paper cutter
Stapler
Things to do:
1. Cut the paper along the long edge into 1/2 inch strips. You’ll want nine strips.
2. Trim 1 inch off three strips, two inches off of two strips and cut the remaining strip in half.
3. Fold all but the shortest strip into figure 8’s, stapling to secure at the center point.
4. Wrap the smallest piece into a circle and staple to secure.
5. Layer the three largest 8’s to create a circle shape. Add the next three on top in a similar formation, letting the tips of the smaller 8’s fill in the gaps between the largest. Staple through the center of all six to secure.
6. Holding the last two 8’s in an x, tuck the circle into the center and staple the three layers together.
7. Nestle the smaller bundle into the center of the larger one and secure with one final staple.
