No Buckle Solomon Bar Bracelet Tutorial

If you don’t have any buckles handy or are looking for a slightly more rustic looking paracord bracelet, this project is for you! Using a knot and loop closure, it’s a great project for beginners and experienced knotters alike and is easily fitted to the wearer with minimal fuss.

Things you’ll need:
White parachute cord – or other colors of your choice
Scissors
Lighter

Things to do:
1. Begin by measuring your wrist for length.

2. Double that length and add five more inches for the knot.

3. Cut a piece at this measurement. This will create your core.

4. For each inch of the core you will need 1 foot of cord to knot with as well.
5. Fold the core in half and knot securely at one end. Test for size, adjusting as necessary. Trim away any excess and singe the ends to secure.

6. Lay the core out on a flat surface. Fold the other piece in half to find the midway point. Lay the other piece under the core so that the halfway point is under it. Slide it down a little to leave a loop at the top.

7. Fold one leg of the longer piece over the top of the core. This will create a loop or C” on one side of the core.

8. Fold the other leg down over the top of the first.

9. Bring that tail under the other and the core and up through the C.

10. Pull to tighten.

11. Again, fold one leg over the core, this time creating the C on the other side of the core.

12. Pull the other leg down over the first then bring it under the first leg and the core and up through C. Pull to tighten.

13. Repeat this process until you reach the knot at the other end of the bracelet.

14. Trim the ends and singe to secure.

15. Loop bracelet around and hook the loop around the knot to wear.
