Beaded Snowman Ornament Tutorial

With winter still here for awhile, there’s no need to keep the snowman ornaments just for the holidays! This jolly snowman decor is cute enough to hang anywhere, any time.

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 1 hour
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
1 – Wood beads
2 – 1 inch wood beads
2 – Acrylic beads
Jute and bead chain
1- Miniature top hat
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Perle cotton or embroidery floss
Needle with large eye
Permanent marker

Things to do:
1. Paint all three beads and allow to dry.

2. Thread your needle and knot one end. Slide it through the acrylic bead and through the first large wooden bead.

3. Now add the remaining two wooden beads and the final acrylic bead, as shown.

4. Take the needle and thread from the top and thread it over the acrylic bead and back into the three wooden beads.

5. Warm up your hot glue gun. Wrap the remaining thread between the bottom acrylic bead and the bottom wooden bead several times. Clip the thread and glue in place onto the wooden bead, so the thread is barely visible.

6. Glue the top hat to the snowman’s head.”

7. Wrap the jute chain around that hat, glue in place, and tie the top into a loop.
