When you don’t want to settle for store-bought Valentine cards, try this adorable monkey-themed treat bag. You’ll go bananas with all the fun you’ll have….and so will your kids!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 30 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Brown craft foam
Yellow or beige craft foam
Clear poly bags
Card stock
Scissors
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Banana-shaped candy
Stapler
Marker

Things to do:
1. Cut your brown craft foam into a 2 – 2 1/2″ circle.

2. Cut the beige foam into an oval mouth, as shown.

3. Cut a set of eyes into the shape of half of a heart, about the same width as the circle.

4. Cut two ears.

5. Cut a rectangle of card stock to 3″ x 3 1/2″ and another strip of white to 1/2″ x 4″.

6. Write Bananas for You!” on the white narrow strip.

7. Glue the monkey face together as shown.

8. Create eyes, nostrils, and a smile on your monkey.

9. Fill your treat back about halfway full with the banana candy, fold the bag over, and staple.

10. Glue the monkey and the bananas for you” strip to the card stock rectangle, and staple to the bag of bananas.
