Art Scrap Mosaic with Mod Podge

Art_Scrap_Mosaic
I’m always looking for things to do with my kid’s art. There’s only so much I can frame or tuck away for later and since I have quite a little artist, I have way more art than I can handle. Instead of recycling some of the excess, I’ve turned them into a mosaic, the perfect way to keep the best little bits without drowning in paper.

Things you’ll need:
Kid art
Scrapbook Paper
Canvas
Mod Podge
Scissors
Foam brush

Things to do:
1. Trim the art down to your favorite pieces. If any of the pieces are larger than inch or two in any direction, you may want to trim those into pieces to be added all together. Smaller pieces give a better mosaic” look.

2. Brush the canvas in sections, adding just the art pieces, keeping them slightly apart from one another, makes sure to keep an edge of 1/4 inch around each piece and around the edge of the canvas.

3. Using the scrapbook paper, fill in the spaces between the art, mimicking edges and continuing with the 1/4 inch spacing.
4. Coat the entire canvas with a thin coat of Mod Podge to seal. Allow it to dry flat before hanging.
