Things to do:
1. Make a window template” by tracing a star onto the cardboard, and then use your xacto knife to cut out the star. Be sure to use a cutting mat to protect the surface beneath.
2. Lay the template on top of your paper or fabric, and adjust to find the most pleasing pattern. Then, use your xacto knife to cut out the star.
3. Apply a generous coat of Mod Podge to the surface of the tin star, and then affix your fabric or paper star by aligning the centers. Use a burnishing tool or a plastic crochet hook to press the paper into the tin star’s contours.
4. After the Mod Podge sets a bit, apply a coat to the top surface to finish. Repeat the process for the remaining stars on the strand.
