DIY Woodland Forest Mason Jar Terrarium

The snow has just begun to fall on this little woodland scene.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 20 minutes
Age range: 10 and up (help with glue gun is advised)

Things you’ll need:
Mason jar
Miniature reindeer
Miniature trees
Sheet moss
Crystal glitter
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Twine
Berries

Things to do:
1. Start by drizzling hot glue in bottom of jar. Carefully pat in a piece of sheet moss. Be careful to not burn your fingers. Allow the moss to creep up sides of jar a bit. Once your moss is in place, glue your tiny trees in background.

2. Glue deer into moss as desired. Sprinkle glitter liberally for desired look.

3. Screw lid onto jar. Wrap twine around lid and tie in bow. Tie knots in ends of twine so scene is still visible. Glue berries under the bow.
4. After I finished this project, I decided I wanted more snow on the deer. I gave it a quick shot of hairspray and sprinkled on more crystal glitter.
