Things you’ll need:
Wax paper or other work surface covering
Glass ornament
Artificial Succulents
Reindeer Moss
Natural Polished Pebbles and Rocks
Acrylic paint in bimini blue or color of your choice
Paintbrush
Coated Natural Jute Twine (optional)

Things to do:
1. Place wax paper or other covering to protect your work surface. Choose the pebbles you’ll line the bottom of the glass ornament with, choosing pebbles that are flat and smooth for the best results.
Tip: We used 15 pebbles for our terrarium, but the number of pebbles used depends on the size of each. You may want to line your glass ornament with pebbles first to see how many you’ll need.

2. Using a paintbrush and acrylic paint, paint the top of each pebble. Allow the pebbles to dry.

3. When the pebbles are dry, place them along the bottom of the glass ornament, painted side up. Some pebbles can go vertically on the side of the glass ornament, too.

4. Pinch off a small amount of reindeer moss.

5. Place the moss inside the ornament on top of the rocks.

6. Continue adding little bundles of moss, filling in the back of the ornament. Be sure to leave some painted pebbles visible in the front for that pop of color.

7. Gently pull the succulents you want to use from the stems one at a time. We used two types of succulents for this terrarium, but you can use as many or as few as you’d like.

8. Place the succulents inside the terrarium, again ensuring some of your pebbles are still visible. The succulents can rest on the moss, or they can sit in front of the moss. Play around with your design until you love it.

9. Optional: If you’d like, you can thread a length of twine or other string through the top of the glass ornament to hang it. The ornament has a flat bottom, so it can also rest on a flat surface.
