3D Paper Heart Garland Tutorial

This festive garland puts the perfect finishing touch on your Valentine’s Day decor! Create a long length and string it up for a rustic, romantic touch.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 1 Hour
Age range: 12 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Book pages
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Jute
Pencil

Things to do:
1. The first step is cutting out the heart shapes. To begin, cut out a heart shape that you like and use it as a pattern. Trace the shape onto the book pages until you have enough to fill your length of garland. For every shape on the garland, you’ll need two hearts.

2. Once you’ve cut out your hearts, it’s time to glue them onto your garland! Fold the heart shapes in half and run a line of hot glue down the middle. Sandwich the jute between the two hearts.

3. Fold the edges of the heart back, creating a sharp crease. This will give your hearts a 3D effect.

4. Repeat these steps until the entire length of jute is cover.
